Welcome to the Changing of the Gods screen saver page! Here you’ll find simple instructions to download and install on your Mac OSX or Windows operating systems.

Instructions For Mac Users:
1. To begin, make sure your Security & Privacy settings will allow you to install a new screen saver. To to this, click on the Apple icon at the upper left of your screen and select System Preferences.
In System Preferences, select Security & Privacy. Under the General tab, click to unlock the Lock icon at the lower left of the window.
In the section titled “Allow apps downloaded from” select Anywhere, and click the Lock icon again so that the Lock is in the closed position. (If this option is not available, you will be prompted with a security question when you open the screen saver. If that is the case, proceed to Step Two.)
2. Click on this link and select Save and click OK to begin downloading the screen saver.
3. Once download is complete, find the ChangingGods_Mac_Screensaver.zip file in the location it was saved and double click to open it.
4. Double click the CoTG_ss file and select Open.
5. When the Welcome screen pops up, click Install.
6. The Desktop & Screen Saver screen should pop up, and the screen saver should be installed. If not, locate the screen saver in the list to the left and click to install it.
7. Finished! If the screen saver does not work please repeat Steps 1-6 or contact your local Mac technician.
Instructions For Windows 10 Users:
1. Click on this link to begin downloading the screen saver. Select Save File and click OK.
2. Once download is complete, find the Changing_Gods_Win_Screensaver.zip file in the location it was saved and double click to open it.
3. When the Installation screen pops up, click Install.
4. If Windows asks if you want to “allow this app to make changes to your device”, click Yes.
5. In the Installation screen, click Install again.
6. Once installed, the Screen Saver Settings window will pop up; simply hit OK and the new screen saver will be installed.
7. Finished! If the screen saver does not work please repeat Steps 1-6 or contact your local Windows technician.
Instructions for Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 Users
1. Click on this link to begin downloading the screen saver. Select Save File and click OK.
2. Once download is complete, find the CoTG-Screensaver-Windows.msi.zip file in the location it was saved and double click to open it.
3. In the CoTG-Screensaver-Windows folder, click on the CoTG-Screensaver-Windows.msi file.
3. Windows virus protection may try to prevent you from starting an “unrecognized app”; if that happens click on More info and select Run anyway.
4. The Windows Setup Wizard will lead you through a brief installation process. When prompted, select Typical from the installation options, and continue to follow the Setup Wizard instructions.
5. Windows may ask if you want to “make changes to your computer”, select Yes. Enter your password and click Yes.
6. Click Finish and you’re Done! The screen saver should now be installed!
If the screen saver does not work please repeat Steps 1-6 or contact your local Windows technician.
If you have an earlier version of Windows or cannot install this screen saver, feel free to download the .mov version here to use as you please.
